Reduce, Reuse, Recycle - Reface!
Environmentally friendly, or 'green', kitchen solutions have historically been perceived as more expensive remodeling projects but at Kitchen Solvers, we have many eco-friendly, 'green', options available that are affordable, sensible, and beautiful. Kitchen cabinet refacing can offer the homeowner the opportunity to affordably remodel or renovate their kitchen while maintaining very eco-friendly environmental standards.
Reduce: By only replacing the cabinet doors and drawers and refacing the cabinet boxes, we use far less wood than new cabinetry, which conserves and preserves our forests. Additionally, we offer wood species, such as Lyptus or Bamboo, that are classified as green due to their procurement practices and forest sustainability.
Reuse: By reusing the existing cabinet boxes rather than discarding them, we avoid adding hundreds of pounds of particleboard/plywood to the waste stream. Additionally, since we are using existing cabinet boxes, the emission of urea-formaldehyde resins found in new plywood and particleboard cabinetry does not occur. Also, people with chemical sensitivities can experience respiratory problems and nausea in the presence of formaldehyde gas.
Recycle: Kitchen Solvers is proud to work with manufacturers who are committed to a healthy and safe environment. As a result our primary door supplier promotes and practices recycling from materials used during their manufacturing process. Some include reclaimed lacquer thinner, printer and copier paper, corrugated products for packaging, and fiber-board pallets.
Reface: Our refacing process can provide you with a luxurious remodel at an affordable price - and it is green! Add in the fact that most of our refacing projects take less than a week to complete and you have a perfect scenario; a beautiful kitchen at a beautiful price!
